It was great to see two teachers and a parent make a post. Please endeavour to follow the blog as I will aim to update on a regular basis!
Just one wee note...
When placing a comment children need to write their correct name not a fictional one.
I was extremely impressed by the amount of posts made on the homework post!!!

We have been basing a lot of topic work on the Commonwealth Games during the week. Please encourage children to follow the Games and take note of results of NZ athletes.
The homework task is based on the Games... Children need to design a uniform for the New Zealand team. They can either design a tracksuit or a uniform for a particular sport. I did state that 3 Way Conferences were in week two of this term. They have now been changed to week four of the term.
They will be held on the Monday and Tuesday (11 and 12 August). Notes will come out of the office ASAP. Congratulations to Haileigh who won the assembly award for taking responsibility for borrowed books.
The focus for next week (week 2: 28 July-1 Aug) is return books on time. This is very important because children are not allowed to issue new books when they have over due library books! Each week I set a weekly homework task. Sadly, I have been disappointed with the overall completion percentage from students.
This week the weekly task is to make a comment on this post. You need to write your holiday highlight and one thing you are looking forward to this term. Simply click 'add comment' below. For the first six weeks of the term the PB4L focus will be based around the library.
The first weeks focus is 'be responsible for borrowed books.' With this focus it would be a good time to hunt out any library books that you may have at home. Hopefully everybody has been able to enjoy a sleep in during the holidays! I also hope that the holidays have been enjoyable and exciting for all.
I spent the first week away in Blenheim with the primary rugby team. I was with both Jesse and Ben. Both these boys were standouts for the team. The class will be without Georgia Poulton who has moved to Greymouth. We wish her well. Looking forward to seeing smiling faces and a busy term starting Monday! |
